Third Thursdays by Ben Knight
Sometimes your parents can give really great advice. When talking to my mother last week, she reminded me about the Pennsylvania Sustainable Living & Renewable Energy Festival run by the Mid-Atlantic Renewable Energy Association. The fest takes place this weekend, September 18th, 19th and 20th. My parents have attended for a few years now (this fest has been going on long before “greening” or should I say greenwashing was in full swing). I’ve always heard about all the great ideas, presentations, and “fascinating” people and I think this might be the first year that I can actually make it.
Though their website is a bit confusing in terms of interface/information design, I highly recommend the fest it to any design strategist wanting to hear some new ideas in sustainable living & renewable energy. Sorry to all who would have enjoyed participating in the Eco-Fashion Show; there is always next year! So the moral of this story is listen to your elders; they can give you some great ideas for a strategically designed sustainable future.
