The A-Z of Green Design Products

By Adam Zoltowski

Often, for those of us concerned about the environmental impacts of our purchasing power, it’s hard to know the best products to buy.

Luckily, Metropolis has laid out a clear A to Z list of the top products for each letter. Some of them are obvious choices, such as wind turbines and air purifiers, whereas others will be new discoveries to most: pocket doors, three-dimensional intelligence chairs, and nanimarquina, a sustainable rub design company.

Also included on the list was Design Consultancy IDEO, for their work in multiple areas of green design over the years.  All of the products are interesting in their own way, and provides insights into how beautiful design can also be sustainable and eco-friendly, making our desires not as destructive as we once thought them to be. Employing the right product design strategy can result in amazing things, for consumers, brands and the planets Brands and most importantly, product design strategists simply need to wake up to the value of attacking design problems from a triple bottom line perspective.
