She is currently Chief of Staff at the New York State Banking Department, the state regulatory agency that oversees state-chartered financial institutions, including banks, credit unions, mortgage bankers and brokers, as well as many other licensed financial services. Jackie is at the epicenter of the financial regulatory environment at a time when the entire system in under review in an effort to strategically design a new regulatory structure that encourages innovation and ensures consumer protection, while discouraging uncontrolled excess.

Prior to joining the Banking Department, Jackie was First Vice President of Communications at TD Ameritrade, an online brokerage firm, Director of Internal Communications at Polo Ralph Lauren and Art Director/Communications Manager at AT&T. Prior to leaving Ireland, Jackie was an Art Director at Arks Advertising in Dublin.

While in Ireland, Jackie attended the Limerick College of Art and Design where she completed a foundation course of art and design, the DunLaoghaire College of Art and Design where she earned her degree in Visual Communications, and the Dublin Institute of Technology where she studied Graphic Reproduction Technology.

When she’s not working or teaching, Jackie is busy training for and running marathons, feeding her passion for photography and doing her best to keep in contact with a global network of family and friends.

CATALYST

CATALYST | Leading Creative Enterprise is a platform for communication, applied research and exchange of the international graduate programs in creative enterprise leadership in Arts and Cultural Management (ACM) and Design Management (DM) at Pratt Institute, School of Art. In each issue, Catalyst focuses on creative enterprise. Each year we select a theme. Then, we search out the leaders, visionaries and entrepreneurs who embody that theme in practice. They are each leading as if life matters—creating economic value as they enrich our cultures, our lives, and our shared world.
