For the next issue of CATALYST, Managing Editor Kevin Rorick has written an article on cycling’s ability to provide wellbeing for individuals, communities and even the world. Inspired, I began riding my bike to commute from Brooklyn to Manhattan. During my first trek back to Brooklyn with Kevin, it became clear that Manhattan was not designed as a biker friendly environ. After almost being hit by a garbage truck, I wanted to find out what cities in the world were the best for cyclists to inhabit.
