Infographic: The World’s Best Biking Cities

For the next issue of CATALYST, Managing Editor Kevin Rorick has written an article on cycling’s ability to provide wellbeing for individuals, communities and even the world. Inspired, I began riding my bike to commute from Brooklyn to Manhattan. During my first trek back to Brooklyn with Kevin, it became clear that Manhattan was not designed as a biker friendly environ. After almost being hit by a garbage truck, I wanted to find out what cities in the world were the best for cyclists to inhabit. The infographic below is a visual representation of those cities, and explains the criteria used to determine their bicycle worthiness. Click on the image to a see larger version. Enjoy!
