In coordination with CATALYSTs upcoming issue on wellbeing this interactive infographic shows a comparison between the Gross Domestic Product and, a more recent index, the Happiness Planet Index of over 100 countries. This new concept was created in 2006 by the New Economic Foundation (NEF), an organization that understands the need to consider happiness and wellbeing as part of the economic value of nations. Data was gathered from the NEF, The World Bank, The International Monetary Fund and The Happy Planet Index. Click on the image below to launch the interactive map.
